They call it the BMW Sport Windscreen. Primarily keeps bugs off the beautifully-chromed gauge backs but for smaller-statured riders it can actually help some on deflecting wind pressures. Riders over 5'8" will benefit from a taller Touring windscreen or just being REALLY skinny. The Sport screen just looks cool and refined, like it belongs.
